my name is Barrie Mellor and I am trying to find information about Albert Mellor, who I think is a distant relative.
I found a thread on the forum some time ago where Albert's name came up - it seems he lived in Penzance and was noted for carrying a rabbit...or a monkey?

I wonder if you knew Albert, and if so, know anything about his background? Our family came from Leeds, but Albert disappeared sometime in the 1920's and he remained a mystery until a recent search lead to Penzance.

Hi Chill; my name is Barrie Mellor and I have been tracing my family tree and believe that I may be related to Albert Mellor who lived in Penzance.
I noticed your comment about him being a character and I wonder if you knew him well? My family were based in Leeds, but Albert was a musician and a "wonderer" and drifted off and was not heard of again after some time in the 1920's. Would very much appreciate any comments you may have.

Good Morning Tttom1. i am a member of a group on Facebook (Nostalgic Penzance and Newlyn) and we are discussing the Chapel which used to be at the bottom of Market Jew Street just down from the what used to be the Gas Showrooms. Hi Chill, just been visiting Scarlet Lancer (aka Michael) and it would be great to have copies of any photos you may have of the RAF Radar sites round Lands End for our archives. Do have a look at www.radarmuseum.co.uk where I am the Curator. Anyway, if you do have some shots that would be great. The photo of RAF Sennen from one of the towers is great so it would be fantastic if there were more like that. Drove round the site on Friday last (in the rain!!!!!). Cheers, Chris
