    Yes I believe this photo would have been taken from the same spot more or less as the one showing St Mary s Curch, on the wharf that separates the inner floating dock from the open harbour, the wooden shack of course is long gone, there was a shell shop on the corner opposite Holmans Dry Dock...

    I dont thnk this is Penrose Terrace,,, this looks to me like,,,Clarence Street Pezance, although I could be wrong, Im going by the Architecture,,,,,from the Pig Market top of Causeway head, turn right down that street where the sorting office is, takes you to the Top of Morrab Road.

    Over the years I have seen some hellish storms batter the Prom at penzance, I can just about remember the prom being rebuilt after a storm I think back in the early 60 s that devastated the Prom tore it to pieces,,,houses opposite were flooded, its said that the waves were breaking over the roof...
