I have some similar photos taken on a Gulval Sunday School trip to the airport in 1957. Unfortunately the personnel are different but the planes look the same.

I looked in "Three Score Years and Ten" and the "Shepherd" must be D.K.Sheppard but I cannot remember his christian name.

I presume that many members of the orchestra are mentioned in the early pages of "Three Score years and Ten" which I have just begun reading. Do we know the names of any individuals?

A nice touch. I am surprised that Shiver Me Timbers is still going as I think the owner died a while back. I look at the hills toward Ludgvan and remember my post delivery days there as a student in the sixties. I got soaked several times!!

Interesting photo, was this the stone ginger beer jar that was found in Mounts Bay? I do not understand the reference to tin and copper, does anyone know? Fish and ice, yes, but copper and ice, tin and ice?

Just wait until 2 cars follow eachother, the second car will be lifted up as the bollard comes up!! Expensive damage. It has happened at a Bristol Golf Club and I expect on many other occasions.

I have just stumbled upon this photo and I am quite certain that the lad holding the bat is not me!! The teacher looks like Rodda Williams and thus it would be a St.Pauls team, maybe at St.Clare., but earlier than 1958 when I left St.Pauls as Rodda Williams looks younger than I remember him.I...

What a surprise to see this as I have just returned from the Scillies, you've got to keep an eye on this sign or the one outside the Tourist Information Centre. A great week (Scilly Walking Festival) except for Wednesday when there were no boats running due to strong winds. Oh yes, there were...

It was in my parents' house and I guess was taken in the house clearance when mum passed away in 1978. Are you sure that you didn't buy it?

Interesting photo which confused me. St Pauls was boys only when I was there and I didn't realise that it became mixed. Anyone any idea of when this happened?
