    It was Baileys Restaurant in the 1960s,my wife worked as a waitress there till 1964.The cafe over Pearks was the Carlton Cafe,I remember going in there a few times as a teenager.

    No I was a Lescudjack boy but I knew David mainly through mutual friends,we used to hang out down the Prom of an evening in those days.Happier times!

    My Dad was a Seargent Major in 1st Battalion DCLI.Some local fellas will no doubt remember him from their National Service days,and from 1956to 1961 inthe TA at Chyandour Barracks.His name was Claude Marston.
