U15 Rugby Team 1966

UPDATESFront Row second from the right is NOT Mike Summerlee -it's Bob Buntine - me! Mike Summerlee was a year older.It's "Ken" North - not Roger.First Left, Back Row is Dave (Farmer) Thompson.To the right of Alistair Gordon Matley-Jones is Anthony Hollow.Front left is John Kimberley.Alistair Gordon Matley-Jones did indeed become head boy. This cohort left in 1970 but AGM stayed on for a year. When they roofed in the main hall AGM's name was in the first line (1970-1) to be left on the "Head Boy Board". Everything above (or before) that was cut off to be made into classrooms.

Back Row: Third from right (including Noddy) was "Brum" Williams.

Note: TCR liked AGM.When we were all asked as a 6th Form on our views on the death penalty (to feed to our MP) who was about to vote in the House of commons, AGM was the only one to speak up with a credible view. Also everyone else was just scared to speak.Sad but true!

Thanks Bob Another good crop of names. Thankfully we do have a photograph of the original 'Head Boys' honours board - in the "Buildings" folder. The image is a little out of focus because it's a third generation copy. I do have the original 35mm transparency and that is clearer.

Finally - it's come to me.Between Roger Matthews and David Barclay is Kevin Lawrie.Took a while!

It's Kevin Lawry I believe (not Lawrie) - also standing fourth from the right looks like one of the 'Blandford' brothers perhaps?Phil W
