Thanks CW! I think this gate is a fantastic piece of craftsmanship - along with the nearby fountain - and have spent a fair amount of time looking at them both. I consider them to be two of Penzance's 'hidden' gems. Will have to check out the new paint job next time I'm passing. I hope they've done a proper job!
