Smelting or milling?

For three points, where is this stone is to be found (and, incidentally, what is it, do you think ? This is not a requisite answer for the points.)?
Not Newmill, Sparky. Try my clue about its whereabouts: 'Not Sancreed unless you're a churchgoer'. People who attend a church roughly describe themselves as belonging to a certain ....? You were closer before.

Mot Newmill, Sparky, as that's in the Madron/Gulval parish, nor Tredavoe, missp. That's in the Paul Parish, isn't it? You're not recognising my clue in the last comment, I think.

'Not Sancreed unless you're a churchgoer'....Think about it! St Buryan isn't there, CW!

OK I'll say it out loud for you....not in Sancreed village but in the Parish of Sancreed...correct?
Is it beside the road through Skimmell Bridge?

You have spelt it out well, Penwithian. Where's Skimmel Bridge however? I can't find it named on my OS map. I'm looking for an old settlement/hamlet.

Skimmel Bridge is about halfway between Tremethick Cross and Sancreed, tpp - it takes the Sancreed road over the stream which feeds into the north-eastern arm of Drift reservoir.
Could the hamlet be Grumbla?
