I think about half way to three quarters along, but then have I seen it nearer to the end? It is familiar, seen it many times, tis on the edge nearly, as can be seen. Could even be opposite my last question.
There again it could be by the middle steps or the outer steps, would be most noticable there!

I thought I scrutinised every square inch. I take it it s on the very edge of the pier. I can t find your mystery pic in the removed section. Anything I could put in the search to find it? I ve tried cross and chapel.
This is probably where an iron bollard was set, and replaced with this cut stone plug ; there is also a place where a small crane was removed, I seem to remember?
