I'm shocked... well that's not the best choice of words.
Advise:
missp this is a form of abuse. If your husband demands that you test an electric fence.
CHILLYWILLY has missp sustained any long term injuries from testing the electric fence.
My concerns arise from when I was a small lad.... yes I know only a few weeks ago ha! No I'm talking when I was a lad, about 6. My bigger brothers convinced me that electricity can conduct down a wooden stick. This done they prodded the electric fence with a wooden stick to prove to me that it wasn't electrified. Duly convinced I then urinated on the fence and was almost crippled from the crutch up!
This is probably the first time a 6 year old had experienced the power of Viagra by electrical proxy!
My brothers thought it highly amusing at the time::11:
In my young day I repaired valve amplifiers, televisions etc ... often became a musical conductor. A lot of current activity and a black stain on the ceiling. Do not do this at home folks ... What you need for a good garden, a good earth.
I remember having an out of body experience... I was able to speak with god and asked hi how life was made... unfortunatley because of the electric shock I had a lisp and life sounded like light and his reply to me was: Rot E = -dB/dt
Getting back to the serious stuff relating to this post are there any members out there who can recommend what I could be planting for the winter? We have a few sprouts on the way but a lot of spare ground. It is a bit wind swept up here and frost is common.
One of my next jobs on the list is constructing coldframes. Parsnips sound good as does cabbage. I will look into these options. Thanks for the tips.::1:
We adopted two new hens last week, Hyacinth and Prudence have come to live with Mavis, Ena, Mary, Jeanne, Diane and Janetta.
After fitting into the `pecking order` they have settled in nicely and are enjoying their new home. ::1:
I'm very envious! You obviously care very much about your brood - which I think is fantastic. Plenty of eggs for cooking, I imagine? And no more shocks from the fence, I hope?!
An update on the chooks, unfortunately one of our girls has passed away, CW found her in her nesting box earlier this week. Natural causes we hope, all the other girls seem ok. ::4:
Hopefully her last five months of freedom were enjoyable.
