Anchors Away!

Which building can this be found outside of?
This is a real find - never noticed this before; beautifully incised; set in a road that has been later metalled. This I want to see for myself. The device of the anchor motif suggests a maritime connection. I will start the ship on course for St Ives.

Not outside Trinity House. “I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor” laugh#

A sound piece of advice, very much on the first page of my Log Book. The metaphors to be found for life and its issues and problems in matters of the sea, are incredible and so very apposite. On more mundane matters ... I still cannot believe that I have not noticed this before; I have not seen it in my travels through town and the quay area over the last two days, but, a car may have been parked in that position?

Cars are not supposed to park here at all, but during off peak hours they inevitably do, as do I on occasion! ::1:
