Navy Inn

Navy Inn but I think it used to be named the Queen Inn some time back
Picture taken in 1997 and supplied by John Gendall
now here s a teaser.....does anyone remember the blacksmiths being next door ????

Navy Inn is quite new (it is literally the worst place I have eaten in) ... I think it was Queen Inn about 1960, before that a house, certainly not a pub in 1936. Can t remember a Blacksmith there.

I have very few references on pubs, except for the actual old original ones. I have a vague recollection of my uncle saying that this used to be called The Queen, but the building was a plain house in 1936 plus.

Few pubs are run by locals anymore resulting in poor refreshments and service, not the Cornish way of things....I cant remember the last time I was in one

Perhaps I am old fashioned, but I like my meals actually cooked and with no bones or fat or gristle, and I prefer my yorkshire puds not cremated.

My fish was still raw, the mussels were cracked and half cooked, and the award winning chef glared at me because I complained. What happened to the customer is always right ?
