This is the view of 17 market place and chapel street in 1930 on the second Wednesday of January every year you could see the Masonic march. Mr Meek (J W Meek and Son) tells me that this was the last of this kind of celebration
Just found this one ... trepolpen was asking about Crysede; here it is, before it became the best Indian takeaway, anywhere. To the far left, What we now know as Test or The Globe. At this time, Nr 26 Market Place was still as designed by Oliver Caldwell, before demolition for Burtons in 1933; Truform lasted on that site until many years later (certainly in my youth).
