There are three clues here in the picture; the posts mark the entrance to a building that has had three healthy uses, but has itself suffered.
Where and what is the building?
Could this be the entrance to the Bolitho .., once a Maternity Home, an institution for the elderly confused and perhaps now for mental health sufferers. In what way, the building suffered itself I don t quite know but my three children were each born there and they caused me some suffering in their time! laugh#
Originally designed by Oliver Caldwell as a Convalescent Home (my grandfather stayed their for a while after an operation, unlike these days where we are kicked out of the bed as soon as the operation is done); my wife stayed there when having my eldest daughter when it became a Maternity Hospital; The building has suffered badly through over development and poor design, as well as poor care. But yes, three safe points awarded. read# The clues in the picture were the palms, the motif (similar to that on Alverne Hay) and the moss growth (indicating which face you were looking at).
